Proper Layering For Babies

How do I properly dress my baby in layers?

Proper layering is key to maintaining a comfortable body temperature. Many babies tend to sweat heavily while sleeping, riding in a car seat or stroller, while nursing, or on warm days. The key to proper layering is to select the correct base layer. Most baby clothes are made of 100% cotton, which is not the ideal fabric for a breathable base layer.

Our bodysuits are made of blend of a 100% certified organic bamboo and cotton blend fabric that is made in the USA. While no piece of clothing will completely eliminate sweating, this ultra soft, breathable and moisture wicking fabric will help to regulate your baby's body temperature and keep them cool, which makes them a great base layer for your baby. These bodysuits are great for laying under sleep sacks or swaddles, for riding in the car seat or stroller, or any other time your baby seems to overheat and sweat a lot.

Pair these onesies with our swaddle blankets made out of the same fabric and your baby will stay cool during naps or stroller rides on a hot day!
